Amie Adams

President

amieAdamsAmie Adams brings to Dunn Associates more than 15 years of experience in government relations, including grassroots organizing, PACs, issue advocacy, political campaigns and related technology. Her ideal work day is one in which she’s collaborating with clients to create successful, innovative programs that blow out their goals.

Prior to joining the firm, Amie spent five years with Democracy Data & Communications, providing expert guidance on PAC and grassroots technology solutions.

Before that, she worked with a nationwide nonprofit organization involved in  women’s health issues.  Amie served as both a legislative and political associate before managing the organization’s training and outreach program. In this position, she oversaw all aspects of a program designed to train state affiliate staff, their boards of directors and activists in the areas of grassroots organizing, strategic planning, electoral campaign organizing and board/organizational development. She also managed and trained a volunteer training team.

Amie began her career working with the McNeil-Lehrer NewsHour, conducting research and assisting with script review. She moved to Washington, D.C. expecting to leave in just a year or two after earning a political science degree from Tulane University—located in her spiritual home of New Orleans.  More than fifteen years later—with a career, family and pets—she’s finally accepted that she’s probably in DC to stay.
